Alea ("the app") is developed and maintained by Alea Labs. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
We collect no personal data. Alea does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email address, or any identifying information, and does not transmit any data to external servers.
The app stores the following data locally on your device only:
This data is stored using your device's local storage (AsyncStorage) and never leaves your device. It is not synced to any cloud service, not shared with Alea Labs, and not accessible to any third party.
Duel challenges and shared results travel inside the link itself: the exercises, rep counts, times, and the display name you chose are encoded directly in the URL you share. Nothing is uploaded to or stored on any server; a duel exists only in the links exchanged between you and the person you challenge. Only share a duel link with people you want to see its contents. Result cards you share are images generated on your device.
Alea does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting services. No SDKs that transmit data externally are included.
If you enable the optional daily reminder, the app asks for notification permission and schedules reminders locally on your device. No push servers are involved. The app requests no other device permissions (camera, location, microphone, contacts, etc.).
Alea does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Because the app collects no personal data from any user, it is safe for use by all ages.
If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
