Alea ("the app") and aleacalisthenics.com ("the site") are made and run by Alea Labs. By using either, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app or the site.
The Privacy Policy and the Training Disclaimer form part of these terms. The disclaimer matters most, so please read it.
Everything the app does today is free and stays free: the roll, the streak, sessions, duels and solo duels. There are no ads in Alea and there never will be.
Optional paid extras may be added in future. If that happens, these terms will be updated before anything is offered for sale, and the features listed above remain free.
The exercises, rep counts and guidance in the app and on this site are general information, not medical or professional fitness advice. They are generated by dice and by a template. Nothing is tailored to your body, your history or your current condition, because Alea knows none of those things.
You decide whether any given movement is appropriate for you, and you are responsible for your own safety while training. Consult a qualified professional before starting a new programme, particularly if you have an injury or a medical condition, are pregnant, or are returning after a long break. Stop immediately if something hurts. If a roll gives you a movement you cannot perform safely, skip it or roll again.
The full Training Disclaimer sets this out in more detail and forms part of these terms.
Alea needs no account, and nothing you do is uploaded to a server. The direct consequence is that we cannot recover anything for you. Uninstalling the app, or clearing your browser data on this site, deletes your history permanently. There is no backup to restore from, and no support request can bring it back.
A duel challenge and a result card travel inside the link itself. Anyone holding that link can open it and see its contents, so only send duels to people you meant to challenge. Challenges expire 48 hours after they are created. Nothing about a duel is stored on any server, by us or by anyone else.
You choose your own display name for duels, and it is shown to whoever you challenge. Do not use a name that is abusive, harassing, impersonates another person, or would be unlawful to send. Do not use Alea to harass anyone, and do not attempt to interfere with the app, the site, or anyone else's use of them.
Alea, the Alea name and the design of the app and this site belong to Alea Labs. The typefaces used here are licensed under the SIL Open Font License. Your own workout history is yours; it never leaves your device, so there is nothing for us to claim.
Alea is provided as is. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose or person.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alea Labs is not liable for injury, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app or the site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Nothing in these terms limits the consumer protection rights you have under the law of the country you live in. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you keep every right your local law gives you, including the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
If we update these terms, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app or the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
